Admissions Timeline
Katz Yeshiva High School of South Florida is a Modern Orthodox Jewish day school dedicated to challenging its students with an exceptional Judaic and General Studies program. Our curriculum engages both the heart and mind, builds character, and develops knowledgeable and thoughtful young men and women who will continue their journey of learning throughout their life.
Our goal is to make the admissions process as smooth and straightforward as possible. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email us at [email protected]. The following will guide you through the application process:
STEP ONE: Learn About Us!
- All families should join us at our Open House on November 24, 2024.
- Families who would like more information about KYHS should click HERE to fill out an Inquiry Form.
STEP TWO: Apply
- Students who are interested in applying for the Freshmen class should submit an application by January 10, 2025. The Admissions portal will close after this date, and applications will no longer be accepted. All supporting documents must be received by January 27, 2025.
- Students interested in transferring to KYHS should submit an application between March 1, 2025 and May 15, 2025. Please note that the Admissions Portal for transfer students will not open until March 1, 2025. Completed applications will be reviewed at the end of each month with decisions released shortly thereafter.
STEP THREE: INTERVIEW & APPLICANT REVIEW
- Once a student’s application is complete and we receive transcripts and recommendations, they will receive a link to sign up for an interview with a member of our Admissions committee.
- This personal interview will allow us to get to know the applicant individually and to answer any questions that they may have about KYHS.
- Interviews are held December through February. At least one parent must accompany the student for the interview as the interviewer will also set aside time to speak to the parent during the interview slot.
STEP FOUR: ADMISSIONS DECISIONS
- Once the interview has been conducted, the admissions committee will review the application, report cards, recommendation letters, and interview notes.
- Decisions will be released starting the last week of February.
